My Sister is Thinking of Getting a Home Theater System for Her and Her Kids

My sister was so impressed with my new Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 speaker system that she wanted to know how much it cost. Currently she doesn’t have any type of home theater system at her home. So when her and her kids watch movies, all of the sound is just being produced by their TV. She didn’t think home theater systems could sound this good. She was expecting them to sound loud and annoying like what you might hear at a college party. I told her the speakers themselves only cost $400. I also explained that if she was willing to purchase them used she may be able to get them for anywhere from $300-$360. She also didn’t realize that you need to have a receiver to power the speakers. So I told her that she would want to probably need to spend at least $300 on a decent receiver. And again, I explained that if she was willing to purchase a used receiver she could get something that was a lot more powerful but it didn’t have all the latest features.
